2018: The paper by Diogo on the history of the discovery and compararive anatomy of non-human primates and its links with ideas on our place in nature and on racism was selected for the cover of the April 2018 issue of the prestigious journal The Journal of Morphology.

 2017: The paper by Alghmadi, Ziermann and Diogo on the untold contributions of muslim scholars for anatomy  was selected for the cover, and subject of a beautiful - and corageous as clearly political about issues that were  happening all around the globe - Editorial note in the June 2017 issue of the prestigious journal The Anatomical  Record, linked with the Anatomical Association of Anatomists.

 2016: The bonobo anatomy project coordinated by Diogo was cover of the printed  edition of the Spanish Newspaper "El Norte de Castilla"  (https://www.elnortedecastilla.es), 14th March 2016.
